WISE WOMAN HERBALS
PROJECT: Redesign 2018 and 2025
Wise Woman Herbals is a well known and trusted producer of traditional all natural, botanical supplements. Originally only available through licensed healthcare providers or on their website, the brand made its retail debut in the spring of 2025. Smart Blonde Design has redesigned the packaging twice since the original yellow label was introduced in 1989 (lower right).
The first redesign took place in 2018 (top right) when the company decided to offer 2 distinct product lines—Professional Formulas (available only through licensed healthcare practitioners), featuring a raspberry stripe and Botanical Formulas (available to retail customers) featuring a teal stripe. The subtle botanical illustrations and muted colors reflected the overall branding at the time. This design won a package design award from Graphic Design USA in the Health & Wellness category in the year it launced.

The most recent redesign (left) celebrates a significant milestone for the company—its introduction into the retail marketplace. The new label prominently features the gorgeous William Curtis botanical illustrations which have been a signature of the brand’s print and digital media for many years. This colorful, eye catching label is a standout on store shelves among the more clinical offerings of other supplement providers.
The new packaging got rave reviews at a the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, CA in March of 2025.
